Mr. Swapnil Desai
Swapnil Desai is an experienced electrical engineering professional with over 23 years of experience, specializing in transformer design and manufacturing for the past 15 years. Over the course of his career, he has designed, established, and scaled transformer manufacturing facilities, leading team with capacities of up to 100 MVA. As a dedicated manufacturer, he leads Swasti Electric's production standards, focusing on high-quality engineering, reliable transformer winding, and durable power distribution equipment.
Educational Credentials
Career Milestones & Industrial Pedigree
Started career journey as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) and rose to Head of Department - Operations Head. Designed and set up the landmark Cast Resin Transformer (CRT) plant at Kondhapuri. Trained at Ocrev (Italy) and validated German Hedrich casting plants in Germany.
Spearheaded the greenfield establishment of their CRT and OFT transformer manufacturing facility using German Hedrich casting equipment, scaling CRT output to 80 MVA per month.
Drove lean manufacturing practice integration in CRT production to actively reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
